AERIAL YOGA

Explore the evolution of yoga into 3-dimensional space. This body/mind/spirit class is a safe and challenging Aerial Yoga class for students of all levels. You will flow through a series of vinyasas and poses like traditional yoga class, but with the added fun and benefit of flight. Connect your breath to your movement, build strength, flexibility, and mobility through reverse traction, suspended asanas, flying vinyasas, and levitating meditations while suspended by the Harrison AntiGravity Hammock.

ANTIGRAVITY RESTORATIVE YOGA

AntiGravity® Restorative Yoga is the gentle, meditative, slow stretching and rehabilitative version of AntiGravity Aerial Yoga. This approach is perfect for those with a lower fitness level, or those who just like an approach that gives you time to tune in at a deep level”. AntiGravity Restorative Yoga is the gentle, healing side of Christopher Harrison’s AntiGravity Aerial Yoga. This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body. This technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection.

Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditations, zero-compression inversions,supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating sivasana. Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of hips and spine. 50 min.

YOUTH AERIAL FITNESS

Our youth fitness classes enable your child to discover how much fun exercise can be, while conquering fears and building self-confidence. You will notice improvement in your child’s focus, flexibility, posture and strength.

ANTIGRAVITY JUST KIDS!

(Ages 5-6)

AntiGravity is a fusion of fitness, dance and gymnastics. Our classes employ thematic material to engage your child while he/she explores flying, stretching and breathing. Each class builds upon the previous class to promote gentle stretching, while introducing an element of lightness and play. Professional AntiGravity instructors using certified hammocks to guide your child to cultivate levity in mind, body, and heart.

AERIAL FITNESS DANCE, TRICKS & POSES

(Ages 7-10 + Tween/Teens)

Aerial is a great way for your kids to learn progressive and cutting edge recreational, sports, fitness and performing arts training. We introduce Aerial Arts technique as a form of fitness and fun! Each class will begin with traditional ground warm-ups and simulates exercises on aerial apparatus. The class progresses to exercises using tissu/silk, hammock and Lyra, focusing on flexibility, core balance, and strength.

Children will learn to do various basic tricks such as: pull-ups, straddles, climbs, pull-overs, crochets, spins & straddle inversions and much more. The progress of learning basic tricks will also teach stillness, neutral positions, momentum, weight bearing and balance transfers.

Introductory and Mixed Level classes are available. Appropriate modifications and progressions are given based on the individual’s experience.

AERIAL FITNESS CAMPS (DAILY & WEEKLY RATES)

Silks, Lyra, Hammock

Our Aerial Camps run as weekly aerial fitness & performance showcases. Our goal is to address the whole child by providing a curriculum that builds healthy lifestyle skills. Campers will engage in a full day of physical activity in an energetic, team-oriented atmosphere. The growing, changing child desires to jump, climb, swing, and spin or even FLY. These primal needs are met in a safe, fun, and creative environment.

Children can gain enhanced concentration, flexibility, body awareness, and overall well-being from many sport camps. At Studio K’s aerial fitness camp, we have even more to offer! This super-fun style of kids’ fitness will create a social community with their aerial peers, all while benefiting from a boost in confidence, better balance, and added sense of courage and strength.
